Before the Holiday Rush… A Moment for YOU✨

One more desert adventure before winter!

Gratitude, Reflection, and Giving

Shannon’s November Update

I’ve always felt incredibly lucky that my birthday and Thanksgiving share the same month. November has become my built-in pause button, a time to reflect on everything this past year has brought me. Not just the big wins, the exciting milestones, the places I’ve been, or the incredible people I’ve met, but also the challenges, the tough moments, and the lessons I never saw coming.

It’s the combination, the joy and the growth, that I’m truly grateful for.

And before we get swept into the holiday frenzy of “more, more, more!” I want to invite you to slow down and pause with me this month. To remember that we are so darn lucky. To take a breath. And to ask yourself:

  • What do I already have that feels like a gift?

  • Where did I grow this year, and who helped me get there?

  • What do I want to experience, learn, or become next?

This month, let’s practice gratitude not as something nice to do, but as a mindset we choose to carry with us, day by day, step by step.

3 SIMPLE WAYS TO BE MORE GRATEFUL THIS MONTH

1. Take a Gratitude Walk in Nature
Leave your phone behind. Step outside. Walk slowly and notice: the colors, the rhythms, the quiet, the air on your skin. Nature has a way of grounding us, helping us remember how much beauty already exists without us having to earn it, fix it, or buy it.

2. Give a Thank-You That Costs Nothing
Leave a voicemail. Tell someone what they mean to you. Write a handwritten note. Give a compliment to a stranger. We assume people know, but they don’t. And it matters. One tiny thank-you (or I love you) can change someone’s whole day.

3. Make a “Lucky List”
Grab a piece of paper and write down everything you can think of that makes you lucky. People, places, chances, choices, memories, moments. Once you start, you realize:

You’ve already won the life lottery in a thousand small ways.

Gratitude isn’t just a feeling, it’s perspective.
It steadies us.
It strengthens us.
It keeps us joyful even when life gets messy.

So this month, let’s dig deeper.
Let’s celebrate the growth, the people, the love, and the little things.
Let’s remember that we already have so much, and we are so darn lucky.

Quote of the Month

“Gratitude turns what we have into enough”
